Restless in Peace (Intro)

Why is it that we always want more, especially when it seems like we have it all? Why is it that once we reach a goal, we immediately start thinking about the next one?

Why is it that we keep learning, growing, travelling and exploring the world and yet, we barely feel like it is enough?

In this blog, I want to explore what we can do to be more present, without letting go of our curiosity and ambition.

That is what I mean by being restless... but in peace.

__________

From a book to a blog:

Let me tell you how this all started.... although it actually hasn't, until now.

Years ago (and I mean YEARS), I had this idea to write a book. I already knew what the title would be: Restless in Peace.

I felt like it's not only a clever (?) word play, but also a representation of how I live my life.

I am always travelling, searching for more, moving countries, learning and starting new things, and at the same time, I look for peace and tranquility, being happy in the moment and enjoying what I have.

I wanted to write this book, but, just like with any big project with no deadline, I wasn't really progressing. Sure, I have tons of notes, but I never felt inspired to finish anything. Also, I don't even know how book publishing works.

So what I thought of instead was making this into a blog.

Just like in Entrepreneurship, it always makes sense to start small and build from there, because this is how we grow. It allows us to get moving, instead of overthinking; it allows us to engage with people and take them along for the journey.

Sure, I could be writing my book in silence, with no way to get feedback or interaction, no motivation to get things done, OR I could write a blog, hit publish every so often and see how it resonates.

This has worked well for my Podcast (Outside the Lines); I think it's going to work well for my blog. So here we are. I am happy to have you. Welcome. Can't wait for this journey together.
